How to Donate to Streamers on Tango: Coins, Gifts, Earnings
How the donation system works
Tango Live runs on two currencies, and they're easy to mix up. Coins are what viewers buy — the entry currency, paid for with real money. Diamonds are what streamers earn when viewers send them gifts during a live stream — the exit currency, which creators can cash out.
So a donation flows like this: you buy Coins → spend Coins on a virtual gift during a stream → the gift converts to Diamonds on the streamer's balance → the streamer cashes out the Diamonds. There's no way to send a streamer money directly, bypassing Coins.
How to send a gift during a stream
- Open the creator's live stream in the Tango Live app.
- Tap the gift icon at the bottom of the stream screen.
- Pick a gift — from small ones to expensive animated ones, each priced in Coins.
- Confirm — Coins are deducted from your balance, the gift plays out on stream, and the streamer sees who sent it.
Bigger gifts show up more prominently on stream and count more toward the streamer's ranking — Tango runs internal leaderboards and VIP tiers that track how many Coins have been spent on a creator.
Why it pays to stock up on Coins ahead of time
Gifts are sent instantly from your existing balance. Buying Coins mid-stream through the App Store is clunky, and for cards that don't work with in-app billing, often impossible in the moment. Top up before the stream you want to support.
Where to buy Coins for less
The Tango Live Top Up page on Kodshop sells Coins in packages from 150 up to 15,000. As with most in-app currencies, the per-coin price drops as the package gets bigger — if you're donating to the same streamer regularly, a larger pack is the better deal.
